The Supertones, a New York City-based instrumental quartet, have released Surf Fever 2000, about which The Continental magazine enthuses, "The Supertones have been a favorite here at Continental HQ for over a year now, so it was a great surprise to find a new disc by them in our mailbox. Surf Fever 2000 is a great 20 track collection that features a plethora of originals along with some oft covered classics (among them 'The Lonely Bull', 'Exodus', 'A Taste of Honey', 'Perfidia', 'Movin', 'Baja' and 'A Hard Day's Night'). With so many Herb Alpert tunes on here I'm surprised they aren't on the new Wildebeest Records tribute CD. The sound is nice and thick with excellent pickin' (reverb applied in all the right places) and a top-notch performance from the rhythm section." Surf Fever 2000 - surfin' madness at its best. Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Surf/Rock), total running time, 53:45 - Supertones @ iTunes!
