Greg Jones is an instrumental rock guitarist from Dayton, Ohio. His original instrumental guitar music heard on his solo CD, String Theory, can be described as combining simplicity in melody and dynamics with the complexity that comes with creativity and musicianship. His music takes on a more balanced approach, striving to stay away from the extremes of the '80s "shredders" and today's minimalistic alternative/punkrock scene. Greg's music draws from the styles of bands such as Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Spock's Beard, Dixie Dregs, Kansas and Yes.
