Stories Without Words is acoustic guitarist Jim Graham's newest CD (after 1996's "Mezcolanza"), a collection of traditional and original guitar solos from eight countries and several eras, all performed on nylon string guitar. The "stories" on this 19-song record include a lute composition from the late 1600's ("Alman"), flamenco from the mid 1800's ("Solea"), a Brazilian folk tune ("Modinha"), a Scottish bagpipe song ("Bonnie Dundee"), traditional ragtime from the early 1900's ("Silver Sand Rag"), several pieces of European classical music and seven original songs inspired by all of the above. Instrumental Guitar (Acoustic/Fingerstyle), total running time, 43:55
