Fingerstyle/New Age
Steel Strings is the debut CD by Canadian steel-string acoustic guitarist Kevin Cardamore, and the album features fourteen original, instrumental solo pieces. Influenced by artists such as Bruce Cockburn, Don Ross, Leo Kotke and Lenny Breau, Cardamore's music is marked by shimmering acoustic fingerpicking, story-driven melodies and strangely wonderous imagary - all delivered with a craftsman's touch. It's clear Caradmore has spent a lot of time honing his technique in order to deliver a memorable listening experience - helped along by the production and inspiration of Ross, who also engineered and mixed the project. The opening two songs, the title track (about relationships) and "Machines And Gods" (about how technology can bring people closer together), really set the stage for the entire album, giving a good indication of the kind of material that awaits the listener. Instrumental Guitar (Acoustic/Fingerstyle/New Age), total running time, 38:20
In your opinion, which guitarist has a similar style or sound as Kevin Cardamore?
