letter ichael Elsner is a young musician that had the feeling in its fingertips playing different instruments at the age of 8... to make the story complete, this young kid was only 11 he took a guitar in hands for the first time! You have it or you have it not sounds the proverb. I can assure you all, Michael has it all in itself...i mean he is so damn awesome skilled that by moments, cold shivers run down along my backbone.

While reading ME's biography you can see what he has already performed so far. All such great works delivered while he's still a pretty young musician, respect and a lot of dignity is mine for sure! His professional career began in 1998 which means that in a duration of 10 years, he build up a musical career where many others can dream of only. With all respect for all the others but that's the cold hard reality you know. I'd like to give an enumeration of a few interesting works Michael has delivered up to date...

He became the columnist for Rock & Read Magazine, the release of "Introspective Guitar" (his first instructional book) became reality, 16 songs of Michael himself were recorded by other musicians...most of them got highly appreciation from people around this globe, he also played on sessions for TV, album and movie projects, songs of ME were used in various television shows and commercials, working along with one of the most impressive shredders on earth, Mr.Paul Gilbert, etc, etc... quite a list and believe me on my word, i haven't yet mentioned everything on the list.

I guess that one of its most ovated duties would be the release of a debut album entitled "Stained Voodoo". A collection of ten songs, played with a lot of emotion and detailed perfection. Nine songs are magnificent instrumentals , one by one brilliant pieces of different genres ranges from Hard Rock to Metal and from Blues to Funk / Jazz (Fusion) over Southern Rock and bits of Classic Rock. Quite phenomenal this guy brings it all like a piece of cake. Completely comfortable playing, nothing but explosive techniques to spoil your ears and inner self. On last song 'You Again', you'll hear the guest appearance of a singer named David Thiele but i was so in the mood / overwhelmed of all the previous 'instrumental' ones that i almost forgot to listen to him. To be honest, I hadn't expect a singer anymore. More guest musicians are attached to the list of guest appearances...i'm totally unfamiliar with these guys but the point is they're one by one loaded with very expensive skills and that's the most important thing for me.

I'm satisfied meeting someone like Michael Elsner who's a great musician, a guy with golden fingers and talented to the bone. I know, there are loads of other awesome guitar shredders moving around but it must be said that America prevails once again with the appearance of this Los Angeles inhabitant where he lives since June 2003. Fans of Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Satriani, Ty Oliver, Ian Moore, Tommy Merry,...should check this nice piece of world class, instrumental pearl for sure. You can buy this masterwork blindfolded. MY POINTS: 87 / 100
