New Age
With a different focus than his first two CDs ("Retratos" and "Suddenly"), Brazilian guitarist Rodrigo Alves turns to New Age and Classical Music for inspiration, and relys on his acoustic guitar playing for his third solo CD, Spiritua. The album finds Alves experimenting with both standard and alternative guitar tunings on 10 instrumental acoustic guitar pieces, and one number featuring the vocals of Renata Capellas ("These Lazy Days"). Alves is a full-time studio producer and independent solo artist, working in his busy R.A. Studio, which records and produces local bands and artists. He has rediscovered the gems of Brazilian Music, mainly the "Corner Club": Flavio Venturni, Lo Borges, Beto Guedes, Toninho Horta, Milton Nascimento , 14Bis, and others like Leo Gandelman, Guinga, Egberto Gismonte and Ricardo Silveira, which has infused his music in many ways. Instrumental Guitar (Acoustic/New Age), total running time, 38:09 - Rodrigo Alves @ iTunes!
