Love is all we need.

"Once you get a whiff, you`ll never be the same boy". Some people think this is a song about drugs, but it`s not. It`s about how profound your first experiences can be, how you`re never the same after. It could be anything. Sex, driving a car, falling in love, getting barreled surfing, your first paycheck, seeing Joe Satriani play guitar. You know , things
that open your eyes to a new world (OK, it could be about drugs too.)

This tune has many of the elements in one song,
the styles I like to play. The sit on the couch picking, the easy going
strumming of the chorus, the build up, with the lead guitar again
singing the melodies.

This is actualy a song of hope, not of disappointment. It redeems the blues in the bridge. "There`ll be times when you just can`t win,
but you gotta keep on pushin`, till you get your second wind. You gotta
count your blessings on more than just your toes, that`s the way life is,
it`s just the way it goes." My friend Brian Barth plays the Fender Rhodes and Hammond organ.

I wrote this song for our family reunion in 1997. I wasn`t even considering putting it out on this CD until my friend Greg Adams (Tower Of Power) called me and said it made his wife cry. This song is a tribute to my parents and my brothers. They truly are a tough act to follow.
"I`m alot like you, that much is true, still I`m alot like me."

This is one of my favorite songs. Played
from the heart.

The first song recorded for this CD.
With the George Harrison type feel in the intro. Lead guitar track is a
Sholtz Rockman, remember those?

Yosemite Falls, full moon, amazing rainbow . I will never forget that night.

Another one of my personal favorites.
very open arrangement, that lets the lead guitar just cry.

Co-written with Tony Ho. With Tony`s beautiful lyrics and soulful voice. We used to do this reggae song with the Deja Voodoo band. But, this version is just the two of us.

Kind of a spacey song, but not named after the planet - named in loving memory of my friend`s dog.
