ots of up-and-comers from Italy since last year with this section and this guy is a musical braniac and wizard of his weaponry; what do you expect when you have to compete with the talent pool coming out of this country? Alessandro also has a side band called Alter Ego as well as teaches and dabbles in production, engineering, composing and finding time to write a column for Axe Magazine in Italy. This 8-track CD has special guests like Frank Gambale and Prashant Aswani to go along with Alessandro's Vai/Petrucci and Satch styles/influences. Some really good bass in this CD too, technical drumming; basically everything you'd want in a good fusion album. For not knowing who this guy is, a few listens from many people will maybe add some push, especially here in the USA with the guitar distros and indies in zines, radio and the net. This guy could be the next household name from Italy.
