Songs For Marie
|
"Songs For Marie" is guitarist Michael Fath's second all acoustic, all instrumental, all solo guitar CD after "Baptism By Desire", and he again features a wide range of styles such as rockabilly, Spanish, bluegrass, Bach classical and pop. Selections include "Bach To The Future" (a tribute to the finest classical composer of all time), "Jacki's Highland Wedding Song" (capturing the flavor of the bluegrass Mecca of the southern Virginia mountains), "Overdrive" (a blast of banjo picking), "Country Sonata" (an affectionate tribute to Albert Lee, Tony Rice and Ricky Scaggs) and "Norwegian Wood" (the Beatles' classic). "Songs For Marie" offers fans of acoustic music a veritable smorgasboard of techniques, sounds and tonal colors.
