Maryland area classical guitarist Dave Reynolds's CD entitled Solo is an excellent compilation of ten original compositions, Sor's "The Mozart Variations" and Villa-Lobos' "Prelude No. 5". Solo is aptly named as it showcases Reynolds with just his custom classical guitar (made in 1994 at the shop of Manuel Contrares in Madrid, Spain), which makes for a warm and intimate listening experience. Fans of Reynolds' two other classical recordings ("Live At The Renaissance Mayflower Hotel" and "Partenza") will be enchanted with his exceptional original pieces, including highlights such as "Turn Of The Century", "Madridian Romance" and "Henry's Outback".
