Fusion
Slice Of Pi, featuring guitarist Ken Andreoni, bassist Kriss Bozek, drummer Ashley Horak and sax/flute player Bruce Collins, is the self-titled debut from a Michigan band serving up eight instrumental tracks squarely in the fusion realm. If you enjoy hearing each band member take an turn at soloing through the changes, you'll like Slice Of Pi, as the release is chock full of guitar soloing (both clean and overdriven), bass solos, and tenor and soprano sax (and the occasional flute) solos. Longer tunes such as "D-Too" and "Far From Funkin" offer the best opportunity for group interplay; the melodic instruments having a go at interpreting the compositions in their own time and space. The band is working on another record, but for now, Slice Of Pi will serve as the thinking man's fusion dessert. Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Fusion), total running time, 39:11
In your opinion, which guitarist has a similar style or sound as Ken Andreoni?
