Review of "skiesWIDEopen"
|
By: Jeff Dennis
ong time local rocker John Inman's second instrumental album covers about every spectrum of music there is. John's been a part of many successful bands, but this is all about him and his creativity as an artist. Jazz is at the forefront on this CD with "Seduction," "Southern Winds" and "Desire'. Mid-tempo rockers are "New Frontier," "Acrobat" and Rush-sounding "Skies Wide Open." Acoustic ballad, "Afterhours" is beautiful, while strong song "Sweet Surrender," features great saxophone work by Lee Schloss. Many other local musicians assist John on this project including Michael Harris, Mel Bittick, James Martin, John Vaughan and Rick Read. This CD can be used as background music at a dentist's office, while studying or even during sex. It works just the same.
