Vai was a band put together with all monster musicians, led by guitarist Steve Vai, with players like drummer Terry Bozzio, bassist T.M. Stevens and vocalist Devin Townsend, There are people who feel the resulting CD, "Sex & Religion", is the most important record in their life and that it changed their world by it's mesmerizing peculiarity. "Sex & Religion" contains intense emotionally manipulated sonic experiences that needed to be released. Vai always felt strongly about the music and he loved touring on it. He feels singer Devin Townsend is one of the most amazing and uniquely talented tormented souls making music today.
