The original founding members of the Illuminoids were William Stone, Jennifer Cummings, and Scott Wright, back in 1999. They recorded the "Theme From The Man From U.N.C.L.E." in 2000. This original recording appears on their 2007 CD, Secret Society Of Surf Guitar. With the departure of Cummings and Wright, guitarist William Stone and drummer Brad Trudeau joined forces while playing together in a country band. This became the genesis for the current Illuminoinds, which also features multi-instrumentalists Jim Abdo and Ben McReynolds. The Illuminoids play a broad spectrum of melodic surf guitar instrumentals. Their music is inspired by the traditional surf legends like The Astronauts, Dick Dale, The Atlantics, Bobby Fuller, and Davie Allan, as well as classic instrumetal guitar greats like The Shadows, Duane Eddy, Link Wray, The Ventures, and James Burton.
