Guitarist Pete Marinovich has released his second CD of relaxing guitar-based instrumentals, entitled Second Voice. On this album, Marinovich teams with noted pianist Elliot Levine, who adds his fresh ever-flowing piano playing to three of the six original compositions. Second Voice also contains three cover tunes (chosen due to their popularity at live performances), as Marinovich and Levine take on the Beatles' "In My Life", along with Jerry Jeff Walker's "Mr. Bojangles", while Marinovich handles the Beatles' "Michelle" by himself. Fans of melodic jazz will enjoy Marinovich's well thought out compositional style as well as the interplay between the guitar and the 'second' voice -- Levine's keyboard work.
