Review of "Rosewood"
|
By: Stavros Moschopoulos
im Earp's CD is a captivating steel-string instrumental acoustic self-released CD album full of gracious rhythm and elegant tunes. Claiming influences from Leo Kottke, Alex DeGrassi and Bruce Cockburn, Jim Earp has managed to find his own voice and tuning that is relaxing, refreshing and rather elegant without being neo-anything or
boring. A nice CD to underline a special mood and desire (as long as you ignore the silly cover picture). Jim Earp (www.guitar9.com/rosewood.html)
