The Seth Chaplas are an instrumental rock band based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. The Seth Chaplas were started in 2005 at the insistence of drummer Anna Kremenliev and Rhonda Kinard who heard guitarist Seth Chapla's rough drafts of a few songs, and wanted to start a band. The Chaplas booked their first show before having a name, so friend/local musician Kevin Ahmadi, who booked the show, thought the name "The Seth Chaplas" was funny, due to the long history of Seth Chapla talking about himself in the third person, and the obvious hilarity of pluralizing things for bandnames (such as a proper noun) that are not well suited to such purposes.
