In the tradition of hard rock Brazilian guitarists such as Alex Martinho comes Sydnei Carvalho with his solo CD Riding Over The Edge. The CD features 7 high energy instrumental cuts and 3 vocal tracks (in English), sung by bassist and co-producer Jotinha. Not well known yet to the English speaking guitar world, Carvalho hopes to change that with his solo CD, as well as with his fusiony band CD (V8's "No Conventions") and the compilation CD "Guitarras Vol. 1". Tracks such "Electra", "The Cage", "Razor's Edge" and "Shining Eyes" showcase Carvalho's unusual guitar style, aided by a number of powerful drummers, including Ivan Busic and Mauricio Leite.
