Hispanoamerica is a collection of Latin American tunes recorded by Paco De Lucia and his brother, Ramon De Algeciras. The collection was taken from three recordings released in the late '60s to early '70s called "En Hispanoamercia", "En Hispanoamerica, Vol. II" and "En Hispanoemerica, Vol. III". Hispanoamerica includes traditional songs (spotlighting De Lucia's flamenco fire) such as "Tomo Y Obligo", "Cielito Lindo" and "Guadalajara." Instrumental Guitar, total running time, 31:17

By: Steve Ekblad
hock--excitement--disbelief--enjoyment. These are the first reactions I had when listening to the "Synesthesia" release by Navid Nikbakht and David Martone. Shock set in when I realized all of the guitar work on this album was being played by only two guitarists in assigned channels for further clarification that there were only two! Excitement set in when I listened to the beautiful music these two guitarists had created together. Disbelief set in as I heard things played at performance levels never before achieved! Enjoyment is the end result of listening to Navid and David`s "Synesthesia".
The album is full of surprises and joyful music that can be listened to over and over. I hear new nuances every time I listen. The recording quality is state-of-the-art. There is even a hidden track at the end.
Nikbakht and Martone met in 1992 while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston and have been collaborating since. David`s musical interest in Classical and Progressive Rock combined with Navid`s World Fusion have combined to create a unique blend of both. They not only blended their styles but each plays into both styles expanding their own musical horizons.
Be certain to pick up this new release. I consider this new release to be one of the best instrumental albums of the year if not the decade.
