More Info
Matt Cafissi started playing the guitar at the age of eighteen under the influences of hard 'n heavy rock bands like Mr. Big, Van Halen and Dream Theater. After some years of self-study he decided to attend classes at the famous and renowned Lizard Institute Of Music in Florence, where one of the greatest Italian guitarists and musicians, Giacomo Castellano, introduced him to new techniques and styles like jazz, fusion and new age. He began composing his own music and put together five excellent demos, and later released his first self-produced CD "Extravaganza" with the help of Emiliano Mammini, Francesco Rossi, Alex Paolillo and Fabio Montorzi (distributed in Italy by Paranoid Records). The music found on "Extravaganza" explored the new sound of melody and techniques of tomorrow, with very direct songs and strong emotion. Cafissi also appears on the Italian guitar compilation "GuitarChef - Volume 1" and now presents his melodic rock solo CD called Heat Of Emotion, featuring Andy Timmons on "Life Goes On", Giacomo Castellano on "Shine" and
ex-Dokken Alex De Rosso on "The X Jam".

'Tasty Guitar Treats'
Review Featured In 20th Century Guitar Magazine, October, 2003
By: Robert Silverstein
rom the liner notes of his new CD Tasty Guitar Treats - Assorted, N.J.-based
guitarist Leon Muhudinov states, "the concept behind this album was to express a
varying assortment of moods by illustrating the many different styles, colors and
flavors that the guitar alone can produce." Touching on a wealth of guitar
stylings-from Les Paul to Segovia and The Beatles-the first half of the 9 track CD
offers guitar adaptations of Lennon / McCartney ("Eleanor Rigby"), Scott Joplin,
classical guitar master Tarrega and Duke Ellington while part two features a varied
round of eclectic Muhudinov originals. With it`s eclectic instrumental avant
pop-jazz and classical guitar vibes, Tasty Guitar Treats - Assorted is an intriguing
CD from an aspiring artist worthy of some well-earned name recognition.

Get On With It

If a competition were held in which local guitarists battled to the
gruesome death in a bold display of technical wizardry, my money would
be on Bryon Thompson. Get On With It, his third release... MORE
