More Info
Innamorare: Summer Flamenco, guitarist Ottmar Liebert's 1999 release, features Liebert and his group Luna Negra drawing from a diverse palette of influences that includes not only the traditional Flamenco style that has woven its way through Liebert's signature guitar sound over the years, but also jazz, classical, Afro-beat, funk, merengue and any number of dance rhythms from around the world. Add to this a festive atmosphere of heightened emotion, and Liebert finds himself in almost the same blissful mood that surrounded his debut, "Nouveau Flamenco", released nearly a decade ago. Innamorare: Summer Flamenco even features a tribute/dedication to Carlos Santana, entitled "Ballad 4 Santana". Instrumental Guitar, total running time, 62:00

'Rare Earth'
Review Featured In Guitar 2001 Magazine, Winter, 2000
utstanding acoustic guitar melodies and excellent composition skills weave through this new instrumental CD from Steve Booke. "Rare Earth" consists of Steve performing all acoustic guitars and percussionist, David Penna. Much like the goal of New Age music, the CD leaves you with an uplifting feeling. However, unlike much New Age there is a lot of fire and excitement in Steve`s playing. Weaving melodies with counterpoint bass lines are fast moving and exciting. The percussion includes world beat instruments such as bongos, log drum, wood sticks and various other sound makers that are alien to most rock players. The performance and execution on this CD are top-notch as well as the production values. I could definately see this CD standing well on a label such as Higher Octave. If you like the sound of acoustic guitar and would like to hear something with pizazz and flair, I would recommend adding this CD to your collection.
