Reviewer Nick Parastatidis writes about Mike Dimareli's new CD Fantasy, "Once upon a time in Greece the only well known neo-classical metal guitar virtuoso was Angelo Perlepes. Since then things have changed a lot and the Greek metal scene seems to have escaped from its own misery. After the releases of Theodore Ziras' albums, Secret Port Records introduces us a new enchanter of the six string goddess. His name is Mike Dimareli and with the album Fantasy he proves us that you don't need to be a guitar player to enjoy such a release. One thing I appreciate a lot in this effort is that Mike doesn't try to show off by playing nothing but solos. On the contrary, he is a very good composer and all the songs are well balanced between melody and virtuosity. Fantasy is an instrumental album that flows easily and you will enjoy every single moment of it. All the instruments on the album were played by Mike, with drum machine, except for the keyboards, which were played by well known artist Bob Katsionis." Instrumental Guitar, total running time, 30:10

'Imaginary Force'
Review Featured In Quintessence, September, 2004
By: Wayne Klinger
eturning once again is this other keyboard phenom with his sophomore effort. A very busy individual with past stints in Fatal Morgana, Acid Death, Casus Belli, Nightfall, Septic Flesh and Star Queen (which was reviewed in Progressiviews in the past) and most recently some live touring with Gus G and Firewind and doing some solowork on the second release from Magic Kingdom.
If you remember the last time around, this guy plays guitar as well and I didn`t give "Turn Of My Century" too much of a positive review since there was alot of songs but only half were worthy of any interest since alot of them were hit and miss, "been there heard that" type of songs. Katsionis, for those unfamiliar is a hybrid presentation of something like the Warman crew from Children Of Bodom, Mistheria and a B-rated Kuprij/Rudess as far as level of playing.
Before anyone jumps to a negative conclusion on my behalf, "Imaginary Force" compared to it`s predecessor is a 180 degree turnaround as far as musicmanship, skill level and overall, maturity of doing some fantastic stuff. This is Bob`s best release and not sure ifhe can top this one! Every song on here is good..and I mean every song. I have no idea what he did or maybe he took some of the negative reviews seriously but what a turnaround as far as releases go. If you buy any of these discs, start with this one first! A must!
