On Girls With Guitars, U.K. teenage guitar sensation Zoe McCulloch rises to the demanding challenges one faces when playing mostly instrumental versions of classic songs by Bruce Springsteen, Meatloaf and others. Displaying an exuberant commitment to the performances, she plays lead, second guitar, harmony guitar - and rhythm too! No expense has been spared as McCulloch is backed up by other guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, piano, organ, violins, brass and more. As reviewer Rob Bradford puts it, "Tracks such as "Living La Vida Loca" gives Zoe the chance to unleash some thunderously rockin' riffs and 'tuff guitar sounds, whereas The Mavericks' good time feel of "Dance The Night Away" is successfully re-created in this tasteful and classy arrangement played with real elan and bravado. I recommend this CD without hesitation." Instrumental Guitar, total running time, 58:50

aye Foucher ("foo-shay") kicks serious ass with this all new, 80% instrumental, guitar driven release. "Killer Clowns" leads with a deadly tuned-down crunch groove that soon transforms into a variety of complex, hard rockin` sections. Excellent crystal clear recording with tonal, yet ripping guitar. Jaye also plays keyboards on the album, which often adds a progressive, sometimes spooky feel to the tunes. As for the two vocal cuts, Jaye`s fine bluesy voice only enhances the already soul filled guitar work. Dream Theater fans will have a ball with tunes such as "Epic" and "Disjointed". All in all, a smooth and tasteful blend of metal, progressive, funk, and blues... lots of tricky licks, melody, groove, and music. This is the type of CD that was made for blasting. (hey Jaye, you owe me a new stereo speaker!) Can`t go wrong with this one.
