Review of "Reasons For A Decade"
|
By: Agelos Kanarelis
roject Alcazar is nothing more than the music of guitarist Chris Steberl. The album is an instrumental piece of music that displays the technical skills of Chris on the guitar. The songs can be described as melodic metal with influences from classical music and the adaptation of classic music scores like Vivaldi's and Mozart's music is really excellent. His influences concerning his guitar playing are coming from Malmsteen, Van Halen and Tony MacAlpine and it is obvious that the man knows how to play the guitar. There are times when he plays like the devil himself and I just can't stop wondering what this man can do with a real band. The album features the drummer of Magnitude 9 as a guest musician, so there is really no problem
with the grooves. He is talented and he is a professional. Chris is certainly one of the most talented guitar players I have heard and given the right circumstances he can easily become the next guitar god. I would love to see him play with a real band, but even as it is the album is highly recommended to anyone who likes the guitar.
