Review of "Reasons For A Decade"
|
By: Wayne Klinger
n an earlier review we spoke of Kevin Ferguson doing the Classical improv music to guitar; Chris Steberl and John Homan do this as well, making up Project: Alcazar. These are revamped versions of Mozart, Vivaldi and Mussorgsky on this 7-track CD from this first U.S. band I know of on Lion Music coming out of Ohio. Now, this overall is still very "Metal" and some fast guitar soloing in the Stump, Yngwie and Fredianelli (Apocrypha to refresh your memories) realm with that added Classical approach but is a great release and one of my top 10 for the year. Rob Johnson has found some competition finally in Ohio!
