Led by guitarist Guy Pople, cyberband Virtual Strangers are fearless in their production of music that is at once imaginative, harmonious and multifarious. Inquiring minds, in particular, will find it especially satisfying. The idea of communicating and collaborating internationally with like-minded musicians via broadband was envisioned by Pople in 2003 after an inspired jam with international Pipa virtuoso L Fang. The idea was further galvanized when Americans Eric Sands and Fernando Diez agreed to man the rhythm section. As the Virtual Strangers vibe began to take shape, the now enthused Pople began to reach out to other musicians in order to fully realize the emerging music. Prelusion was recorded with the aforementioned musicans, along with Ewa Mizerska (cello), Paul Cheneour (flute), John Gibson (clarinet, Rhodes), Cheng Yu (Pipa, cuquin), Ambroise Charron (saxophone) and Sherene Strausberg (piano). Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Progressive/World), total running time, 30:47
