Indiana guitarist Patrick Woods' second CD, Power Fields, has finally been released. Woods is a guitar instrumentalist and composer who specializes in a fingerstyle playing technique. Based out of Winona Lake, Indiana, he has played to all types of audiences, from ages 5 to senior citizens. Woods has also opened for national and regional acts such as Guy Davis, Katie Reider, and Michael Kelsey, to name a few. He also enjoys sharing the stage with national award-winning guitarists like Jason Dennie, Brian Henke, and other icons such as Jim Volk, Eric Loy, Bill Dutcher, and Paul Brown. On Power Fields, his performances run the gamut, so you never know what's around the corner. He may be playing a funky bass line in one song, and a tranquil soothing melody in another. His style is not the normal run-of-the-mill guitar technique, like so many others out there. He extracts otherworldly sounds from the instrument by tapping and hitting the guitar with the palm of his hand and fist. Instrumental Guitar (Acoustic/Fingerstyle), total running time, 65:03
