ore heavy fusion from Lion Music and a name you may have already read about from the "Shawn Lane Remembered" series of compilations that came out the last 6 months.
"Phraseology" is a close Vai-ish; somewhat an equivalent to what Joe Stump is to Malmsteen. This is anther one of them guys who have some good techniques and has the love for the ultimate "solo of solos" and has quite arsenal of heavy rhythm structures. There's some classical tunes on here but on a good note, he is not an Yngwie clone and does his own thing...if there is to be anything as far as comparison in that, I would say Alex Masi and no 2,000 note finger diarrhea. Alot of odd-timings and good song structuring makes "Phraseology" a real definitive piece of ear candy.
What makes Patrik real is he is self-taught and the only thing that has really aided him in playing and teaching himself is the "Passion & Warfare" album Vai released. This only has enhanced his craft and utilizing it as a tool and not something to copy off of or to mimic. This is just a true mark of discipline, self-expression and a passion for music. A notable player to make high marks in the ranks of today's players.
