Jeff's CD, "Pawn Shop" is more eclectic than his previous CD, "Dig!", with less of the playful funk and more use of blues and acoustic guitar. Songs like "Platform Shoes" and "Legend" are in the earlier style while "Return of the Wolf" is a slow haunting blues. "Lakota" is especially interesting because of the use of many interesting acoustic textures and American Indian melodic elements. At first I missed the fun catchiness of "Dig!" but the variety of "Pawn Shop" is growing on me and I feel it is an excellent follow up.
