Patricia was the first song I ever wrote and was written for my
girlfriend of 5 1/2 years. This song is very upbeat with a nice melody.
Although simplistic, this song is catchy and it is still one of my
favorites.

Lambdog was created because of the animal game farm that I went to. I
visited the animal game farm in the Catskills, NY and saw this creature
that looked half lamb, with dog ears so I figured I`d write a song about
an animal so cool. Therefore, I called it Lambdog.

Fatal Tragedy is a song about the ultimate tragedy occurring to someone
although almost any tragedy could be put to this song. The somber tone
to this song really makes the listener feel the sadness to the song.

Out of Purgatory was an experimental piece I was doing to improve my
classical styling as well as compositional skills. The song is a great
example of an orchestration of a classical work in the vain of Dionasio
Aguado, who I was studying at the time.

Broken Heart is a sad song describing the feeling of someone who`s heart has been smashed to pieces. Oddly enough, the song doesn`t relate to me directly but I felt that I wanted to convey pure emotion and this song, especially the opening riff does the job.

Purgatory shows the mid-point between heaven and hell. This song
contrasts different arpeggios, harmonic minor, and major scales to
contrast the demonic hell, and angelic heaven. This song is dedicated
to Jason Becker as he was a great inspiration to me and was an
inspiration to this song.

Dad`s Song was co-written by my father because he sang a melody one day and I just played it. We came up with great chords and the song came right together. Since my father isn`t into guitar-shred, this song is
played on an acoustic for the most part and is very melody driven, yet I
did throw a short but sweet solo for lead guitar in the middle.

Arpeggio Autopsy was created with the "Out of This World," motif in mind
to create music about the unknown and combine it with shred. Arpeggio
Autopsy uses extensive arpeggios throughout the piece and the autopsy
refers to `alien autopsy.` Instead of alien autopsy, Arpeggio Autopsy
was created to put an interesting spin on it.

Spanish Alien keeps the "Out of This World," approach and in this
composition, a matador, Spanish type of sound is created and then
immediately contrasted to an alien-like weird melody. This song was fun
to invent because I really gave myself the freedom to do anything with
it branching out to be as weird as possible.

Shred Dominates is how the "blues vs shred" war actually happened with
the shred obviously demolishing the blues. This is my real view on the
ongoing battle between shredders and blues players. The shredders say
the blues players can`t use `super shred techniques,` while the blues
players say the shredders have no technique and feeling. We all know
what happens to those blues players :)

Black Hole keeps the outer space feel to the CD with special effects in
the intro and a heavy metal introduction. This song is the closing song
on my album and I really liked the way how the special effects fades out
to end the CD.
