Review of "Out Of The Shadows"
|
By: John Nicholas
ohn Hahn is a very modern sounding guitarist with a lot of different rock styles. His songs are a great blend of speed, songwriting and melody. John has the attention to detail and harmonies of neoclassical players like Tony MacAlpine but without as much emphasis on the neoclassical elements. He also has a knack for creating catchy riffs and songs like "Outward Bound" and "Looking Glass" are so cool that you almost don't realize how impressive the technique is. The arrangements are very good with songs like "Inherit the Wind" smoothly moving from clean guitar textures to commercial rock grooves and fast leads. Overall, "Out of the Shadows" has excellent musicianship and production. Highly recommended.
