Click here to view a sample gift certificate similar to the certificate the recipient can view from a link in their e-mail message. E-mail gift certificates never expire, and they can be used to purchase any item on the Guitar Nine Records/Guitar Music 9 site. You can even attach a custom gift message to further personalize your gift.

Why Shopping Online via Secure Server is Safe

You've all heard a lot of talk about whether shopping on the Internet is safe. The fact is that in 2009 on-line shoppers will spend well over $230 billion dollars according to Forrester Research.

The primary concern of on-line shoppers is that their credit card information will somehow end up in the wrong hands. We use Netscape's Secure Commerce Server technology, which encrypts your order information, keeping it private and protected. It's a Netscape technology called "SSL" (Secure Sockets Layer) and it's used by us and all the other major commercial shopping sites, including: The Wall Street Journal, Barnes and Noble Books, Amazon, FTD Flowers, Microsoft and Apple Computers. It is actually safer to transmit your credit card information over the Internet (by any means) than it is to use your credit card in your local restaurant.

When you're to ready place an order, you'll have the option to checkout in secure mode. You'll see that the little lock or key on the bottom of your browser is unbroken. This means that all of the data passing between you and Guitar Nine Records is unreadable by a third party. If you are unable to access us in secure mode (perhaps from work), it is possible that a proxy server or firewall at your site is misconfigured, and you should speak to your system administrator.

Guitar Nine Records has a secure certificate issued by Comodo Security Services (click graphic below to verify).

secure

Comodo SSL certificates are compatible with all major browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. When you are on a secure page, you'll see the address of the page change from 'http://www.guitar9.com/...' to 'https://secure.guitarnine.com/...'. That means your browser is communicating with our secure server, and that transmissions between your computer to our server are encrypted and protected.

Guitar Nine Records has processed tens of thousands of credit-card transactions since 1997, without a single credit card number being compromised.

What most people don't realize is that shopping with your credit card is actually safer than paying by check. In the event that there is a problem with your purchase, the credit card company will remove the purchase from your bill and the on-line merchant is not paid. In the event that your credit card number is stolen, the credit card companies do not hold you responsible for any unauthorized purchases. We at Guitar Nine Records have personally purchased (over the past eight years) everything from airline tickets to flowers, CDs, books, software, computer hardware, guitars, recording equipment and clothing.

So feel free (and safe) join the thirty to forty million other people that are experiencing the pleasure of on-line shopping.
