om Hess is a new guitar virtuoso from the US. Together with guitarist Mike Walsh and drummer Chris Dowgun he recorded twelve tracks. The first track "Eploration" shows you immediately what you can expect of this album. The song is filled with progressive elements and piles of emotions. It also shows the neo classical abilities of Tom. The songs are very varied and take you from Dream Theater, Malmsteen, Rainbow etc. Although he uses a whole basket of styles and influences the songs make sense and are very fluent and arranged into detail. The mood changes are perfectly executed and add a lot of drama to the music. Tom Hess debuts here with a killer instrumental release.
