Rock/Fusion
Curtis Reid's second full length CD is the appropriately named Omniumgatherum, a word with Latin and English roots which means "a miscellaneous collection (as of things or persons)". The music here is a collection of tracks devling into a half dozen musical styles including fusion, new age, blues, rock, ambient, jazz and more. Almost all instrumental (the blues track "James Marshall" features vocals by Reid), the guitar is the consistent thread stitching the music together and lending an air of cohesion to the material. The sonic atmosphere he creates on tracks such as "Application For President", "The Ghosts Of Narcissism" (featuring some great Reid axe work and some excellent bass courtesy of Mario Mendivil) and "(They Say) The West Is Nice This Time Of Year" is driven by his vintage/modern guitar tones. If stylistic variety is your bag, give Omniumgatherum a careful listen. SPECIAL! Purchase this CD and receive a FREE souvenier "Omniumgatherum" pin, limited time offer, while supplies last.
Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Rock/Fusion), total running time, 37:33
