The wait is over - Mike Banta has released his all instrumental guitar CD - No Words. Drawing on many years of experience on stage and in the studio with Contemporary Christian artists Don Francisco, Wendy, Barry McGuire and more, Banta weaves many guitar styles into a seamless package of uplifting and beautiful music. From the meditative "The Yearning" to the rocker "Kaboom", there is something for everyone on this album. Much of the record features Banta's fingerstyle playing, with accents of electric and acoustic lead guitar. A CD highlight is "Battle Won", a Celtic/rock jaunt on acoustic. On this and other tunes on the album, Banta is joined by Colorado's premier fretless bass player Michael Olson, Kurzweil keyboard wiz CJ Lewis, and the tasteful drummer Shawn Hansson. Another listener favorite, "The Passion", pairs modern dance beats with classical lines. All in all, this is a record that will not fail to move and entertain listeners.
