Ottmar Liebert Review of "Nouveau Flamenco" @ iTunes By: Geof O`Keefe n 1989, Ottmar Liebert release his self-financed debut "Marita: Shadows & Storms". Higher Octave subsequently signed him and in 1990 reissued revamped version under the new title "Nouveau Flamenco". Liebert has gone on to great success with both smooth jazz and New Age listeners with his lush and melodic Flamenco style. Tracks such as "Waiting 4 Stars 2 Fall" and "Shadows" feature light, atmospheric orchestration and delicate picking, while others such as "2 the Night" and "Surrender 2 Love" are a bit more lively . This is passionate music which will both excite and relax, not an easy task.
