letter s one would expect from these guys, the level of overal musical quality here is simply excellent. This is a live recording featuring Carlton and Lukather, including Gregg Bissonette, Chris Kent and Rick Jackson. Though live, the sound quality of this recording is absolutely incredible. These guys are as tight as can be, the instruments sound wonderful, and the overall production is top-notch. Steve Vai happened to be one of the mix engineers on this project. The music is very clean, highly produced fusion, but has the attitude of raucous rock and roll. There's a lot of interplay and trading going on, and you can feel the live intensity building and boiling in each and every tune. Each member communicates individual character and feel without compromising the band's unity. The content on this CD is very versatile, and can easily be enjoyed by almost anyone, not just guitar-fanatics, but is musically intense enough to indeed satisfy the most demanding Guitar-2001 reader.
