letter didn't quite expect this to be a vocal album but does include special guests Anders Johansson and Lance King (Yngwie/Hammerfall and Balance of Power respectively). What caught my attention right off the bat was the second track being a Police cover of "Message In A Bottle"; nice fingerstyle stuff, heavier and pretty consistent with it's original. The instrumentals on the CD; only a handful, are exceptionally good with the patented legato technique Rolf is noted for and how clean he keeps everything. I'm not too fond of the vocal songs since they are too commercial for my tastes in the Damn Yankees, Nelson and Mr.Big limelight. I would like to see Rolf just do one complete CD with nothing but instrumentals (unless I didn't do my homework and he actually has one? The U.S. lacks on foreign releases!). Rolf has been currently busy with his new project, Empire and also is part of the band, Vanize. Check the sites for more details on either or both.
