cd CD Information

Arpeggio Travel
I believe this tune to be one my strongest examples of my neoclassical guitar playing. This track was heavily influenced by George Bellas and Vinnie Moore. I wanted to have an instrumental tune that would be over the top but still be very melodic. The arpeggio sections were extremely fast and challenging to play.

Tower
Tower is my favorite track on this album. I wanted to create a moody vibe using the heavy keyboards and drop D guitar. I wanted to create a song that would affect the listener in an emotional way and not just appeal to musicians. I felt that what was played on this song is as deep and heart felt as I could possibly play. The neoclassical style is often criticized for being cold and UN emotional but that is simply not the case. Guitar players that play this style well play it with a lot of emotion.

Before The Battle
This tune has a straight power metal influence. I wanted to pay tribute to bands like Helloween and Iron Maiden and of course guitarists such as Tony MacAlpine. There is an arpeggio section heavily influenced by Bach that was difficult to play!

Flight
This tune has a definite Tony MacApline influence to it and a strong melody in the chorus section.

Freedom Of The Artistic Mind
This particular song has a great deal of personal meaning for me. I wanted to create a song that would represent the way I feel as I am creating art. The melody was inspired by a deep conversation with a good friend of mine who made me realize that art and music come from a deeper place in the soul. When I hear this piece it also reminds me of a time in my life when I was exposed to the freedom and beauty of creating music and art.

Temple Of The Insanity
This song is extremely hard to play and has really difficult arpeggio patterns and extremely fast picking runs. A section in the middle of the song sounds reminiscent of Vinnie Moore`s playing style!

Solo Of Shred
This particular track is a stand alone guitar shred fest of arpeggios and speed picking madness.

Eternity`s End
Eternity is a three-part epic song that reminds me of a long and fast journey through space and time. The middle section features acoustic playing as well as a moody key section that reminds me of the feeling of loneliness. I wanted this song to be the final track on the album because the song as a whole is the best description of me as an artist and musician. The melody struck a deep emotion for me. I wanted to express a feeling of fighting to achieve freedom.

Acoustic Solo
This is the purest example of my playing on the nylon string classical guitar. It was recorded with one microphone. The guitar had no electric pickup it was all done with my hands no studio trickery or enhancements just studio reverb. I wanted to play this to prove to my critics that I can play acoustic just as well as electric.

Shattered Horizons
This is a song from my Band Forgotten Realm. It`s the demo version of the song. It features me trading off solos with one of my favorite guitar players of all time, Joe Stump.
