Progressive/Fusion
As written up in the February, 2007 issue of Guitar Player magazine, "Although guitarist and educator Neil Haverstick has played just about every style, it's his theoretical and practical grasp of microtonal music that differentiates him from most other accomplished players. Stretching the octave to 12, 19, 31 and 34 tones, Haverstick nonetheless manages to remain musical." The Stick Man evidences this clearly on Mysterious Female, his 2007 CD whuch features primarily the 19 and 12 tone intervals options over its 11 instrumental tracks. He also uses Pure Tuning (which uses intervals from the Harmonic Series) on the two pieces on the album which feature fretless guitar, "Iraq" and "Silver Woman". Give Mysterious Female a spin, let the music take you to some new and unfamiliar places, and thank Stick Man for challenging microtonal music. Instrumental Guitar (Acoustic/Progressive/Fusion), total running time, 54:01
In your opinion, which guitarist has a similar style or sound as Neil Haverstick?
