letter uitar freaks better watch out for a guy, based in Canada, named Sam Yelda. Sam sent me the pre-release version of its full length, 10 song album "My Revelation" a few days ago and I'd like to spread the word of such a great guitar god. From the moment I hear a screaming / technical skilled guitar, blood's pumping through my veins like a raging horse. What I'm trying to say here is that I've got the same feelings while listening to the incredible guitar duties of Sam Yelda.

On this CD, all electric, acoustic, classical, bass and even mandolin guitar parts are played by the master himself in a very terrific way. I've never heard of him before but I can assure ya'll...this is awesome!!! He's inspired by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Francisco Tarrega, Malmsteen, Blackmore. The CD contains four instrumental songs and one track played with a great vocalist named Mark DeBlock. Rest of the members are Mark Calcott (keyboards), Ron Desslipe on drums and Scott Hamel is in for the orchestra action (My Revelation) and voices (Gypsy Sketches).

Sam is able to play in a fantastic way with a lot of flexibility as soon as his fingers floating up and down the arm of his guitar. He can brings atmosphere, passion and emotion only by shredding every tool he definitely likes to play and that's very well to me. Haven't got much background info about Sam, but if this is really his first album ever, I'll add it right away to the top of my personal guitar players. As said before, there's one song (at least on this 5 track demo!) with a vocalist and the song reminds me musically of Chris Impellitteri and vocally of Rob Rock who even played in the early days of Impellitteri. Also check out the combinations of neo classical elements and the short power fueled guitar riffs with awesome breaks and of course the superb solo works.

Sam has my solution for sure, this is a great performance in every point of view. It was very nice to hear the pre-release but I can guarantee that the search for the entire album is on shortly after finishing this review. Sam Yelda...the ultimate guitar revelation in the nowadays world of Hard Rock / Metal music.
