"Music From Here" presents essential Ronnie Montrose instrumental compositions delivered in a trio format, the guitarist being joined by Michele Graybeal on drums and Craig McFarland on bass. The master of the hard rock groove pours thirty years of playing experience into the eleven tracks on the CD, which also feature numerous examples of Montrose' exemplary slide guitar work. McFarland gets to rip it up on bass, especially on "Primary Function" and "Life After Life" while Graybeal holds the trio in place with rock-solid percussion playing. "Music From Here" remains one of Montrose' best solo efforts.
