letter ere's a band I always liked after Sherinian's departure from Dream Theater; he's made quite an impact for himself with this band. I reviewed the live CD on the last update and some songs off that are actually from this new release and it's great to have studio versions of tracks as well to get 2 different viewpoints. The trio of Sherinian, MacAlpine and Donati is just awesome since they all click emphatically and really are a musical glue in the songwriting department. Very progressive instrumental songs and also has some special guests like Tom Kennedy, Jimmy Johnson and Billy Sheehan. 10 tracks that skim a few genres like Blues, Jazz, Reggae and even some really heavy stuff every now and then. MacAlpine's playing on "Moon Babies" is the best I've heard from him and that's saying alot since all his solo releases are premium quality in my opinion. One of those bands for the technical listener but also can be appreciated by the "average Joe".
