enis Taaffe is located in Bloomington, Indiana. At age 29, Denis has been playing guitar for the last 14 years and has learnt a great deal. His style places a great deal of importance on melodic phrasing, unique playing techniques and solid guitar tones.
Denis played all the instruments on the CD himself - including all guitars, bass, vocals and drum programs. Though mainly instrumental rock guitar, there are a couple vocal tracks.
About some of the 15 Tracks:
1) Abducted by Aliens - The opening Track is filled with unusual guitar sounds, delay guitars, volume swells, rhythmic textures and unusual lead guitar; to create an alien, but compelling sound.
3) Driven - the third track is a straight ahead rocker in which Denis Taaffe shows us why he is the guitarist to watch in 1999. Denis' swelling lead guitar takes center stage on this track. Hear it for yourself - you'll be hooked!

4) Countdown - The fourth track is a rock guitar instrumental that takes the listener on a sonic journey, generating a lot of different moods and feelings.
5) Adrenaline - this is an all out rocker: volume swells, driving, grinding, compelling rock.
7) The Reef - one of the best tracks on the CD. A pure 5 minutes+ guitar instrumental. With a solid melody and endless surprises, the track changes from moment to moment from a searing guitar solo to a soft jazz rock groove.
8) Night at the Beach- this track features delayed guitars, a relaxed sound, simple melody and instrumental fusion style lead breaks.
