As a young up and coming guitar player on the west coast of Canada, Mitch Merrett is fast becoming one of the most recognizable guitar figures in the area. His guitar influences include Roy Nichols, Albert Lee, Redd Volkeart, Danny Gatton and Jimmy Olander. With the completion of his first instrumental album, Merrett finds himself covering many styles of music from straight ahead country chicken pickin' to rock, jazz, surf and blues. All tracks were recorded at the Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, B.C., and all songs were written or co-written by Merrett and his producer, Mike Norman. Featuring ultra-tasty guitar solos, you'll find Merrett especially hot on the country-flavored numbers, such as the blazing track "The Gunfighter". Burnin' guitars and great production! Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Rock/Country), total running time, 38:01
