Tony Flores started playing music on the clarinet, but started playing electric guitar at the age of 16 when he heard Metallica's "Master Of Puppets" album. He fell in love with playing the guitar the first time he plugged into an amp and hit the first chord. Flores then took guitar lessons and learned as many Metallica songs as he could. At the age of 19, he went to Music Tech to further his knowledge of the guitar, learning music theory, reading, chords and scales. In the summer of 1994 he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, which helped him decide to be a full time musician. Flores then hooked with guitar teacher Todd Duane and studied with him for two years, furthering his mastery of the instrument. In 1998. Tony went to the local college to finish his B.A. in Music, and during those four years he learned how write and arrange music. He is influenced by such players as Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Beethoven, Mozart, Miles Davis, and Mike Stern.
