Mahavishnu Orchestra

"Live At Montreux 1974/1984"

The Story
John McLaughlin, one of the most innovative guitarists of the last 40 years, leads the Mahavishnu Orchestra in two very different performances from Montreux on this exciting DVD: "Live At Montreux 1974/1984". The 1974 performance has a much edgier feel and is definitely at the rock end of fusion while the 1984 concert shows a more sophisticated side of the group, although they remain as adventurous and challenging as ever. Two great concerts, one great band.

Special DVD features include: 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound Audio, DTS 5.1 Surround Sound, PCM Stereo, Audio Only Tracks From 1974 ("Power Of Love", "Vision Is A Naked Sword", "Sanctuary").

Additional Facts
The DVD includes the songs from 1984: "Radio-Activity", "Nostalgia", "East Side", "West Side", "Clarendon Hills", Medley ("Blues For L.W.", "It’s The Pits", "Living On The Crest Of A Wave", "Jozy", "Pacific Express", "Mitch Match" and "Mitch Match (Reprise)"); from 1974: "Wings Of Karma", "Smile Of The Beyond" and "Hymn To Him".
