Guitarist Scott Bradoka on Live & Loose, "So here it is... a live CD. The idea came while we (The Staggerng Evil Geniuses) were out on a little tour this past summer. I recorded each night to DAT with a stereo mic. While there were some extremely cool performances, the sound quality was lacking. The thought of taking my Pro Tools rig out to a gig sounded like a good idea... until I realized what a complete pain that would be. Well, I could hire a company to come out and record a show, but that would mean sinking a somewhat large chunk of money into something that only my 5 or 6 fans would really care about. The idea then struck me... I'd invite an audience into the studio and BAM... problem solved. I think you'll enjoy the slightly different takes on these songs.
