am not the biggest fan of instrumental music, especially when it comes down to guitarists strutting their stuff around in hopes of becoming the next Joe Satriani or Eric Johnson. What makes of Leonid a cooler cat than those guys is his eclecticism. The tracks included here variate in shade, hue, heaviness and level of exposition; he seems destined to switch moods because that's his mission. He can play the guitar, but can he hold out attention? This stuff says Yes, and that's more than most guitar albums can sound off with a straight-note. Leonid must also have a lot of free time or no life, because for this recording he has not only played the guitar, the keyboards, bass, electric sitar, and kalimba but also something curiously called a "little bigstick." And it's not drums, because those were played by some dude named Mike Cullens (Chuck Berry, Mick Taylor).
