he latest solo album from bassist Bunny Brunel is a heavy fusion experience featuring Mike Stern, Ray Gomez, Vivian Campbell Brian Auger and John Wackerman on Bunny's originals and the classics "Led Boots" (composed by Max Middleton and performed by Jeff Beck) and "Stratus" by Billy Cobham. Stand-out cuts include "Vlad" with the great Ray Gomez back for one of his best solos in years and the powerful rendition of "Stratus". Brunel was one of the original bass virtuosi and he remains at the forefront of modern jazz and fusion. Recommended.
